The food court of the Abasto Shopping Mall. I was so famished after all that shopping I had done that I figured I'd check out the food court. I had a chicken shawarma wrap because it was the most interesting ethnic food I could find. I also had a banana milkshake (licuado) and a little date ball for dessert.

Actually, milkshakes are interesting in Buenos Aires. They will make them with fruit and your choice of water or milk. The milk ones are better, in my opinion. If you go to ice cream shops (um, not that I did that), they'll make you a milkshake there with any flavor they have. I might have had a lemon tart milkshake at one point. =) They have a thinner consistency than the ones in the US, but they are a tasty treat for sure.

Speaking of ice cream, for my second dessert, I visited the one of the two ice cream shops in the food court. This was not a trip that I lost weight on, despite how much walking around I did. I was too eager to try all the food!
